Founded by Rick Waters, The New World of Work was created to give professional students a more comprehensive educational selection base, rather than just a single type of training. Rick Waters is a passionate Agile Coach and Certified Scrum Trainer with over 15 years of experience in software engineering and a dedication to fostering Agile practices. He leverages his expertise through Wisecrum Associates, his training company, to equip teams with the tools and frameworks needed to thrive in fast-paced environments. Rick excels in both in-person and virtual training, delivering engaging sessions on Certified Scrum Master (CSM) and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) classes. He further extends his knowledge by offering advanced courses like Advanced CSM and Dysfunction Mapping. Rick's reputation precedes him, recognized as one of the top facilitators in the Agile product development space. His ability to guide complex discussions and ignite collaboration is a cornerstone of his success. Rick's commitment extends to his memberships in the Scrum Alliance and Agile Alliance, where he actively contributes to the advancement of Agile practices. Prior to establishing Wisecrum Associates, Rick honed his coaching skills across various esteemed organizations. He served as an Agile Coach at JP Morgan Chase, Allstate, Capital One, and Nokia, further solidifying his understanding of Agile methodologies in diverse settings. His background also encompasses 15 years as a software engineer, providing a valuable vantage point that bridges technical expertise with coaching acumen. Beyond his professional pursuits, Rick is a dedicated advocate for US military veterans. For the past five years, he has spearheaded an unofficial non-profit organization, Scrum.Vet, which is focused on educational opportunities for veterans. He is also a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Marcelo has worn the PO and SM hats interchangeably for the needs of his employers. Marcelo authored, and is currently one of the co-authors of, the original Spanish language translation of the Scrum Guide on https://www.scrum.org/Scrum-Guide. The first non-English languge version of the guide! Check out “Scrum en Breve“, my Spanish language version of “Scrum in a Nutshell”, an excerpt from “Exploring Scrum: The Fundamentals” by Dan Rawsthorne and Doug Shimp. Kim Poremski is the founder and president of Agile Prowess. Holding the credentials of Scrum Alliance Certified Scrum Trainer (CST®) and SAFe 6.0 Practice Consultant (SPC), Kim draws upon over 30 years of IT and product management experience, coupled with a dedicated 15+ years in the agile arena. She passionately imparts her knowledge by coaching individuals, teams, and leaders and by facilitating engaging and interactive workshops conducted both in-person and online, catering to diverse public and private sector audiences. Kim is a frequent speaker at regional and national Agile events and served as the conference emcee for both 2023 Global Scrum Gatherings in Portland, Oregon and Amsterdam.
